Morteros Tudela Veguín also takes part in tree planting

During the morning of Thursday 19th March, Morteros Tudela Veguín carried out its first planting activity on a plot of land alongside the PREFASA factory in Langreo. The land had been previously prepared for the planting of the 40 native trees; a direct entrance was made from the factory into the planting area along with a pedestrian trail and other necessary tasks.

The pedestrian trail was also made with a business goal in mind; the path was developed using an ecological material called “ASTURCON SENDAS” which is designed and manufactured by Morteros Tudela Veguín, and the idea is for this trail to serve as a showcase for future clients. Another interesting fact is that all of these tasks were carried out by workers from the factory, who worked hard and achieved excellent results using products manufactured by Morteros Tudela Veguín with recycled material.

All in all, the first ever planting activity to be carried out at the PREFASA factory has been a great success. The 30 sixth class students from La Llamiella and Clara Campoamor primary schools had a fantastic environmental awareness day in the company of the Mayoress of Langreo, María Fernández, who also joined in with the activities and planted a tree with the children and some of Corporación Masaveu’s company executives, such as Head of Communication and Institutional Relations Alicia Castro, Manager of Morteros Tudela Veguín, Juan José Iglesias, Manager of PREFASA Óscar García and the Environment Manager in the industrial sector, Fernando Tresguerres.
