5 years of environmental awareness days result in almost 1,000 new trees

Corporación Masaveu’s environmental awareness days have been taking place yearly since March 2010, when the first event was celebrated at the cement factory in Aboño. During these events, native tree species are planted by schoolchildren from the areas in which the company carries out its industrial and business activity.

The initiative is organized in collaboration with Tudela Veguín, Candás, Narón, La Robla and Sariego National Schools and has so far resulted in the planting of 700 trees, with the figure this year estimated to rise to almost 1,000.

These events emphasize Corporación Masaveu’s commitment and respect towards the environment. Since the company’s foundation in 1898, it has permanently strived to maintain sustainability in the areas where it operates.
